Iluka Busselton Jetty Swim - The
11th Annual Busselton Jetty Swim commences 8am at the
beachfront. The premier ocean swim in the south west of
Western Australia. Since 1996, the Busselton Jetty Swim
has grown from a local event to an internationally
recognized event attracting in excess of 1000
competitors. The course is a swim of just under 4 km
around the Busselton Jetty. Singles and teams of two and
four are welcome. Be a part of the atmosphere and enter
the best jetty swim in the world.
Registration must be received by 25th
January, 2006 The event co-ordinators reserve the right
to close off or reject entries, at their discretion,
should numbers reach limits for responsible management.

Dunsborough Arts Festival – 9pm-3pm
The Dunsborough Arts Festival is a fun day of art for
the family at Dunsborough beach. Meander the art and
craft market under the peppermint trees filled with
unique and unusual products ranging from art, folk art,
sculpture both metal and wood, jewellery, toys,
photography and ceramics. Add your touch to the pavement
drawings, the community mural or sandcastle building
competition.
There is an art tent for children to get
creative at their own pace! Don’t forget to visit the
Dunsborough Lions Club Annual Art Competition at the
Naturaliste Community Centre for some fantastic local
and not so local art works.
This year there are several free workshops including
dance, drumming and percussion, and there is
entertainment by a number of new bands in the region –
definitely varied and interesting for the family to
watch! |

It’s a sunset concert by tranquil Geographe Bay on the
Dunsborough Foreshore featuring lively jazz by local
musicians Groove-a-matic and the international award
winning Busselton Senior High School Jazz band.
Following the headline performance, kick up your heels
and have a dance with the children.
There will be wine available from local
wineries and some fund raising food stalls – guests are
invited to bring their own picnics but no bringing your
own alcohol! The concert is free to enter.

Geographe Ladies'
Golf Classic:
The inaugural event in 1996
was a modest success. Since, its popularity has
blossomed and for the last four years the entries were
sent out in mid-December and the field was full before
the New Year. It is a 36-hole stroke event and, like the
West Coast Open, attracts the State's best. Helen Beatty
and Nicole Montgomery have both been dual winners. There
is also an 18-hole ambrose on the Friday before the
tournament. The event is always on the weekend after the
autumn long weekend. This year's event is scheduled for
11-13 March. The 2006 Entry Fees are $27.50 for the
ambrose and $70 for the tournament.
