Development & Sales Information

2005/06 will see some exciting re-development at Bay Village Resort, with a range of new accommodation styles, including some overnight units expected to be ready for summer 05/06. We apologise for any inconvenience, however the changes will be worth it! As all our existing units are free standing, we expect minimal disruption to guests. The children's playground is currently not available, however there is a playground on the foreshore, just a 200 meter walk down Dunn Bay Road. The on-site cafe/bar area is also undergoing a "face-lift" and is temporarily closed, however the Cafe is expected to be open in time for the Xmas holiday period 05/06. In the interim, there are several very good restaurants within easy walking distance.

Considerable expense, a lot of thought, and design concepts from 2 different architects for this re-development has taken place, and Shire approval has been received for the following.
  1. New day administration office & storage areas
  2. A new commercial tenancy facing Dunn Bay Road
  3. Night manager & on site caretaker accommodation
  4. Permanent staffing accommodation
  5. Purpose built DAY SPA
  6. Eleven new (4.5 star) apartments
  7. Extra parking
  8. Large common area with B-B-Q area and fully landscaped
  9. New children's play ground and games area with shade protection

  11. New common area services section

Upgrade of Cafe/Function, Dive shop & Pool areas

It is proposed to do the following upgrading to this complex

v     Remove toilet blocks, pump house and sauna and reposition them back on strata land at the back of the pool area;

v     Set up a new outside area for the pool facing the ocean with wood decking and a sun area with brush wood fencing, a security gate, as well as a new night access door for the pool area with large opening doors from the pool to the wood decking area -this has been completed.

v     Brick up the pool area from the cafe completely;

v     Re-model the cafe/restaurant, alfresco areas and function areas to suit the new concept.
